My name is Connie. I am currently a student and trying to learn how to knit, sew, and cook. I grew up in the Philippines and lived there until I was 18. After, I moved to Iowa to start college. Currently I am trying to become a teacher, but that might change. Moving to the US was a major culture shock. I had to teach myself how to clean, do laundry and buy food. Actually, I am still learning how to do those things efficiently.

I decided that I wanted to learn how to sew and other artsy fartsy stuff because a lot of things here in the US are expensive compared to the Islands. $15 for a 9x9 pillow?! I also want to create things that could last a while like quilts and blankets. I just really want to learn how to make a house homey. We'll see how it goes :p
